Hermann Maier – Meine Heimat – The Hahnenkamm Mountain

Meine Heimat ("My Home") is a TV series produced by the Austrian Broadcasting Corporation ORF featuring the Olympic medal winner and world champion skiing legend Hermann Maier. He explores Austria's most attractive regions, presenting the country's fascinating flora and fauna and meeting people committed to preserving the natural world with passion and innovative approaches.

The film explores the natural beauty and the inhabitants of the region that surrounds one of the world's most popular skiing destinations and reveals how tourism and nature co-exist in the Kitzbühel Alps. The region includes rocky landscapes, lush mountain pastures, high moors and mountain lakes. Hermann Maier meets people who introduce him to some of the incredible abilities of the local wildlife and playfully demonstrate the limits of the human body.

This production of Interspot Film and ORF was produced in association with Kitzbühel Tourism and funded by the Austrian Television Fund and Cine Tirol.
