Austria's National Parks – Wilderness at the heart of Europe

Austria's National Parks – Wilderness at the heart of Europe

The craggy mountains of the Hohe Tauern, the forests of the Limestone Alps, the floodplains near Vienna, the salt pools of the Seewinkel region, the vertical cliff faces of the Gesäuse reserve and the meandering course of the Thaya river - six unique Austrian landscapes that share one characteristic: six national parks ensure the preservation of these valuable areas.

A co-production of ORF, BMUKK - Austrian Federal Ministry for Education, Arts and Culture, and Interspot Film. Produced in association with the Austrian Federal Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry, Environment and Water, the Umweltdachverband, the European Union and Nationalparks Austria.
