Hansi Hinterseer 2013
Production OverviewHansi and Gina wander through flawless natural areas, observing skiers on the distant pistes. In the course of their expedition they introduce viewers to the spectacular ice cave, visit the Dachstein glacier and Ramsau, Austria's most horse-friendly region. More than 400 Noriker and Haflinger horses, the characteristic breeds of Tyrol and Styria, are at home here. For more than 500 years, the region has also been home to the "Lodenwalke", which produces the loden material the traditional Schladminger jackets are made from. Hansi Hinterseer also visits the up-and-coming ski stars in Schladming. After all, as a child, he too was an enthusiastic skier. "And, of course, I'm going to enjoy what Schladming is famous for: I'm going skiing."
On the pistes around Schladming, Hinterseer meets the ski stars Maria Höfl-Riesch, Viktoria Rebensburg, Michaela Kirchgasse and Klaus Kröll and watches them prepare for the Alpine World Ski Championships 2013 in Schladming.
Both Hinterseer's sports and music careers are intimately connected to Schladming: "I won the first slalom world cup to be held here in 1975. In 1994 I had my first performance as a singer in the "Musikantenstadl". That was here too."
